Auto Repair Technician Info

Thinking of moving to Boise Idaho can anyone tell me what to expect?

We are from Wyoming and would like to move to Boise Idaho or a town near by. We have a little one who is now 8 months old. The way the economy is now we are kind of afraid to move. My husband is an auto body repair technician I work at Walmart and am currently in school part time for Nursing. Do you know what the job marke is like there for my husbands career? What kind of community colleges are located there? is it a family oriented community? The weather?? any info on the area would be great! thanks! Leave all rude comments to yourself please.

I live about an hour away from Boise, and I go down there alot. Honestly, the job market isn’t great here right now. My three brothers have no work, the oldest just got layed off about 2 weeks ago. As far as community colleges go, we have Apollo College and the College Of Western Idaho. Those are both good nursing programs. Boise is a very family oriented community, with lots of events, clubs, and activities specifically for younger kids. Zoo Boise is a good example of this, where the kids (and parents!) get to hand feed giraffes. The weather is very good most of the year. Spring is usually warm but not hot, with rain here and there, lessening rapidly until summer, when it gets over 100 on a regular basis with almost no rain. We have problems with fires in the mountains, so when that happens the Treasure Valley is pretty filled with smoke for awhile. Fall is warm to hot temperatures with almost no rain until about October. Winter is usually pretty cold but not terrible, with average temperatures in the mid to high 30s during the day. Boise overall is a very beautiful place, (it is the city of trees, after all =)) with a low crime rate and still very rural. There are alot of things to do around the city or within a half hour drive. If you like football, come watch the Boise State Broncos play on the smurf turf in the fall, or if you like to ride bikes, take a ride up to Lucky Peak or ride along the relaxing and pretty Boise Greenbelt. Those are my examples, there’s plenty more to do and see! I hope this helps you out! =)
