Im looking for Chiltons Time and Labor Guide or equiv online so I can verify my mechanics hourly estimates?

The have a guide out there that reputable shops go by called the Time and labor guide for auto repair and auto mechanics. I want to browse a guide online so I can determine if my mechanic is being honest with me about hourly repair costs

A guide is a reference, by definition. A suggestion.

At no point does it say that anyone has to follow it.

If the mechanic tells you 20 hours, for something the guide says 5 hours, he’s allowed to do that.

It’s not fraud, theft, or anything illegal.

Nevermind that time estimates, are exactly that. Estimates. It might start as a simple job, turn difficult, and take much more time.

All of which is simple, easy logic.
