Comments (0) My mechanic ripped me off?
My engine was making noise and i had just bought the used car so i took it to the shop and was told my engine mounts needed to be replaced along with spark plugs, wires,cap,and rotor. the cost of labor alone was over 1000. wow i thought that was high so i bought the parts and took the car to another mechanic who said all i needed done were the mounts and to take back the other parts. he did the work for 200. Now a month later one of the mounts has turned out to be defective, and the original mechanic wont refund any of my money for the unneeded parts, or the defective part which has caused about 400 in additional damage to the mechanics of the vehicle. I’ve reported them (ocean pines auto service center), to the better business bureau and am waiting for a response but in the mean time i’m out over 300 in worthless parts and 400 in new repairs because of the defective part!!!!!!!! is there any justice for the consumer anymore?? Apparrantly not.
The only recourse you have at this point is small claims court.
