How do I change my tie rods on my car?

I have 2005 chrysler 300 Touring and my outer tie rods are loose. I got some quotes from auto repair shops and it comes to be around $400. I called sears and they said the tie rods only cost about $20 so I was wondering if I can just do it myself? If yes, how? If it helps it has a 3.5 engine and I don’t know if this makes a difference but it has 24″ rims.

You can do it yourself , if you know what you are doing. if not take it and get it done. Its alot harder then you think. You probably don’t have the right tools. Don’t forget to get an alignment when you are done. Good Luck
