need repair info for an alternator replacement on a 2001 saturn sl1?
tried auto zones online manual, they report technical difficulties..help anyone? engine 1.9 twin cam
•Disconnect the battery negative cable.
•Remove the accessory belt.
Caution: Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned. To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle on the opposite end from which the components are being removed.
•Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
•Remove the right wheel and the assembly.
•Remove the right wheel well splash shield.
•Disconnect the field wires.
•Disconnect the fusible link wire using the proper wrenches to hold the generator output (B+) stud from rotating.
•Remove the lower and upper generator attachment bolts.
•Remove the generator through the wheel well opening behind the strut.
installation is just the reverse of this proceedure
