Is it customary to charge a fee for an auto repair estimate?
I called a auto shop and asked how much break pads would cost, labor and installation. They said to bring it in so they could look at the car; they did, gave me an estimate, and charged me for the estimate.
They did not tell me of the est fee up front.
if you do the work there will the give you back your estimate fee?
