Did research on changing discs and pads on 2002 Jag.X type.?Input?
I asked this question earlier,whether “i” can install these pads and disks on my wifes 2002 Jag. X-type. It looks like all I have to buy now(I have the discs and pads already,aftermarket purchase)is a Caliper re-set tool to compress the calipers. Someone told me earlier to “forget”about doing this job? I don’t get what the rocket science it? I went to free auto-repair service instructions and this does not seem that hard to do?Can “I” do this? I feel this question is moot anyway,because I am going to do this on my own. Front AND Rear discs and pads!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I am sure he’s gonna insist on selling me pad sensors since the manual evidently recommends changing those too, and whatever other little surprises mechanics have for you when they call you from the shop “Um,I’m afraid your wheel bearing is shot” “Uh, I’m afraid you need a new C.V.C. axle…lol…..what a life!
