I have a question on a 1978 Dodge Ram Van. can anyone help?

i was looking for a van online and i found one in Cali. the owner said it needs work on the carburetor and needs a new set of mufflers. its a 1978 Dodge Ram Van. i called my local auto repair and they said that i would need to bring it in so that they can look at it. im willing to drive to cali and get this van but only if i can get an estimate on how much its gonna cost me. can someone help me please?

If you live in a state that requires smog inspection..now days i wouldnt buy a vehical that does not already have smog certificate. just saves you problems. but my guess is new exhaust, muffler, cat converter $500, A new carb $220, misc labor for carb install tuning plugs etc, 400-$600
